Your journey

Your needs and goals, personal to you, are likely to change as your life progresses. For this reason, we encourage our clients to see financial planning as an ongoing process – a journey rather than a destination.

01

Introduce

Our initial meeting will give you a better understanding of who we are and how we may be able to help you. We will also ask you to give us an overview of your situation and what you are hoping to achieve from our relationship.

There is no obligation for you to take our relationship any further and therefore we do not charge a fee at this stage, but if you wish to, we will inform you of the next steps along with our fees for the proposed work, and follow up with a Client Agreement for you to sign.

02

Understand

When we next meet, we’ll ask you to tell us about your specific financial circumstances and your personal short and long-term goals. We will take you through a series of questions that allow us to obtain important facts and figures on your assets, liabilities, existing arrangements, current income and expenditure and your objectives and aspirations for the future.

We will also use this opportunity to ascertain your attitude to risk, an understanding of which is crucial if we recommend you invest your money.

03

Analyse

This stage is completed in-house by our team who will use their specialist research and analytical skills to find those solutions and strategies that are likely to deliver your objectives within your desired time frame. We will use cashflow modelling tools and cutting-edge technology to analyse the options available to you and determine which will be most advantageous in your particular circumstances.

04

Build

We build our recommendations into a full financial-life plan that we will present to you. When we present our recommendations we will illustrate and explain how we reached our conclusions so that you can then make fully informed decisions about your future with confidence.

You will leave this meeting in possession of a financial plan, with timescales, and agreed actionable next steps, should you wish to implement our recommendations.

05

Implement

If you choose to proceed, we will take care of any work required to implement your plan. We will keep you informed of our progress at all stages and take responsibility for getting things moving promptly and efficiently.

06

Track and Refine

Although there is no obligation to engage with us on an ongoing basis, maintaining an ongoing relationship with us allows us to revisit your financial plan and see how well you are progressing towards your goals. Where there have been changes to your life or your objectives, or where we’re able to identify new options that might help you better achieve your goals, we will discuss making adjustments to your plan to keep you on track.

At your review, we will also revisit your attitude to risk to see whether anything has changed which may warrant a change to your investment strategy, refresh your cashflow forecast to reflect any changes to your circumstances or desired outcomes, and check that you are still happy with your plan. Where you are facing challenges, an ongoing relationship with us ensures that you are not facing them alone. You will gain the peace of mind of knowing you have access to our guidance, support and advice any time you need us.
